claire kearns

I’m Claire, an artist and I run the Bradford Sound Women Network. I studied A-levels as a mature student at Bradford College and a BA (Hons) Fine Art at Bradford School of Art. I worked for BCB Radio, and led workshops designed to promote sound to girls from Bradford’s underserved communities. I studied MA Sound Arts at London College of Communication, working with site-determined installation. My main interest is the complex political history of sound as arts practice in the West.

JANNAT IQBAL

I have a VERY varied background – a strong believer in the complete phrase of ‘A Jack of all trades, master of none. But better than a master of one.’ My path has never been linear, and that’s exactly how I like it. Forever pioneering the beauty of going through life with curiosity and a thirst for learning. I’m a passionate supporter of the Bradford Sound Womxn Network – a space that celebrates safety, expression, and empowerment. It’s a rare and powerful thing to be in a community where you’re free to take up space, speak your truth, and be met only with encouragement and positive vibes. For the festival I’ll be behind the lens, so be prepped to get papparazzi-ed!
